Rose Crossing to Glacier Airport Pavement Preservation 2 CONSTRUCTION AHEAD The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and LHC Inc. are beginning work to rehabilitate approximately 4 miles of U.S. Highway 2 (US 2) between Rose Crossing and the Glacier Park International Airport near Kalispell. This project begins south of the Rose Crossing intersection and ends just south of the entrance to Glacier International Airport. WHAT TO EXPECT DURING CONSTRUCTION: One lane in each direction will remain open at all times. Speed limits will be reduced. Work may take place 24 hours a day, Monday through Saturday. Sunday work may be approved by the project manager on a case-by-case basis if requested by the contractor. Rose Crossing and Birch Grove Road intersections will be closed to east/west traffic for up to a 5-day period. These closures will not occur simultaneously, and a detour will be posted during the closures. Wide loads may be restricted at times. Delays of up to 15 minutes are possible.
