CONSTRUCTION AHEAD The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and LHC Inc. are rehabilitating approximately 7 miles of Montana Highway 35 (MT 35) southeast of Creston. This section of the roadway has become worn down over time and needs repairs to extend the service life of the roadway. Planned improvements include: . Removing and repaving the top layer of asphalt. Sealing cracks in the roadway shoulders. Adding new pavement markings and signage. Adding new centerline and shoulder rumble strips. Applying a seal and cover (chip seal). Work on this project is scheduled for 2024 and 2025, and is anticipated to be completed in fall 2025. Crews plan to seal cracks and install new signage in 2024. In 2025, crews will return to remove and replace the top layer of asphalt and chip seal the project area.
