Kalispell Bypass - Ashley Creek to West Reserve Drive The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), and Pavement Maintenance Services, Inc., will conduct roadway improvements on Alternate US Highway 93 (Alt US 93), also known as the Kalispell Bypass. Improvements to the Kalispell Bypass begin west of the intersection with West Reserve Drive and continue south for approximately four miles, ending just south of the bridge over Ashley Creek and will include the following: Crack seal Seal and cover (chip seal) operations Fog seal on the shared-use path Adjust and repave bridge ends New pavement markings Work is scheduled to begin in late April and will last approximately eight weeks. Construction at the southern Ashley Creek Bridge will begin the end of April and will take approximately three weeks to complete. During the first week, construction will take place overnight from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Drivers should plan for reduced speeds, single-lane closures, and potential delays. A single-day shared-use path closure will be necessary while fog seal operations are completed. All scheduled work is dependent on weather, materials, and other unforeseen factors.
