AA BRIDGE STREET BIGFORK- The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is preparing for the reconstruction of the Bridge Street Bridge in 2024. In anticipation of this project, MDT is eager to discuss our plans with the community and hear your thoughts, ideas, and questions about this reconstruction at the upcoming open house. MDT will be hosting two open house sessions to best accommodate the community's preference for meeting in-person or virtually. The same information will be shared at both meetings. Join the team on August 11 and 12, 2021, and find more details below. The new bridge will be structurally similar to the existing structure at the request of the community in earlier public conversations. The approved design for the new bridge will honor the historic structure with a matching steel truss shape, a single travel lane, and walkway.
