VISION ZERO ONTANA FRAPAMEN ANNOUNCEMENT PUBLIC ATTENTION ROAD CONSTRUCTION ON U.S. HIGHWAY 2 & U.S. HIGHWAY 93 This spring, the Montana Department of Transportation will start pavement preservation projects on two major roads in Kalispell to correct extensive cracking and roughness. All work is weather dependent. Crews will resurface U.S. Highway 93 from the intersection of Idaho Street to Grandview Drive and U.S. Highway 2 from the intersection of Cottonwood Drive to of a mile north of Reserve Drive. To minimize the disruption to travelers on high-volume roads, the Montana Department of Transportation will complete most construction at night. Temporary lane closures will occur during working hours from 7 p.m. to7 a.m. on U.S. Highway 2 On U.S. Highway 93, working hours are from 8 p.m. to 7am. and may include temporary lane closures. One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open. MDT is mindful of these impacts and wll work as efficiently as possible to complete work on schedule. In conjunction with roadway repairs on US. Highway 2, the Montana Department of Transportation will also be updating sidewalks and traffic lights to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act standards. Please abide by all posted speed limits. Fines do double in work zones. Alternative accessible formats of this document will be provided on request.
