MONTANA Open House Meeting DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTAO Public Discussion of Project to Reconstruct Whitefish Stage Road The Montana Department ofTransportation (MDT) is hosting an open house on a study to review roadway reconstruction alternatives for Secondary Highway 292 (Whitefish Stage Road) between West Reserve Drive and Montana Highway 40 (MT-40) The open house will be held in Kalispell on Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in Room 139 of the Arts & Technology Building at the Flathead Community College (777 Grandview Drive). After a brief presentation at 5:30 p.m. the public is invited to meet with project team members. The purpose of the study is to determine the cope and limits of a future reconstruction project, which will provide an improved roadway that enhances mobility safety, long-term viability and future capacity for a high-growth area of the county The project study limits begin at reference post 0.5 north of the intersection with West Reserve Drive and extend north to reference post 9.3 at the intersection with MT-40 The proposed project will analyze improvements including widening the existing roadway, flattening side slopes, and improving horizontal and vertical alignments.
