Flathead County Commissioners paid $1.5 MILLION TAXPAYER DOLLARS for less than 10 usable acres. The purchase price of $1,500,000.00 far exceeds fair market value. The appraisal the County obtained appears to be based upon non- comparable properties. A separate appraisal using comparable properties located in the Lower Valley area valued the property at $760,000. Are taxpayers spending almost double the property's value?
