NOTICE OF ELECTION. VOTING SYSTEM EXHIBITION, DIAGRAM OF BALLOT, VOTING INSTRUCTIONS. BALLOT PREPARATION & BALLOT COUNTING Notice is hereby given that on June 2nd, 2026, an election will be held in Flathead County for the Federal Primary Election. All polling places are accessible and will be open for voting from 7:00am to 8:00pm on election day. In addition to State and County-wide races, electors of the Star Meadows Fire District will consider the following proposition: Shall the Board of Trustees (the "Board") of the Star Meadows Fire District, Montana (the "District") be authorized to levy permanently up to 130.0 mills per year, raising approximately $200,000.00 annually, for the purpose of funding the operations and maintenance of the District, including the cost of full-time permanent employees, training, equipment and administrative support? If this mill levy proposition passes, based on the estimated taxable value of the District, the District estimates that the annual property taxes on a home with an assessed market value for tax purposes of $100,000 would increase by $99.89, of $300,000 would increase by $298.16, and of $600,000 would increase by $682.62. An increase in property taxes may lead to an increase in rental costs. This increase will not affect taxation by other government agencies and is only for District purposes.
