About

North Valley Music School is a community-based, intergenerational music school. We were formed as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization in 1997 and teach 400 students annually from babies to adults through private lessons, group classes, summer camps, and workshops.
North Valley Music School is the only non-profit, community music school in Montana. Located in beautiful Whitefish, we annually serve 400 students of all ages through private lessons, early childhood music, performing ensembles, group classes, workshops, master classes, and summer camps. We also bring music to over 1,500 community members each year with our faculty and student concerts and community performances. This year we are celebrating our 19th year of enriching our community through musical education and performance. Our faculty of 11 offers private lessons in Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Electric Bass, Voice, Guitar, Electric Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Harp, and Flute. Scholarships are available for all ages. NVMS relies on donations and grants from individuals, businesses and foundations to keep our school running and provide an affordable, quality music education for all (see Support NVMS). NVMS is housed in a historic Whitefish building at 432 Spokane Avenue (Hwy 93), convenient to downtown and schools.
