Donations can be mailed to PO Box 427 Kalispell, MT 59903 Coats for Kids, Inc has helped thousands of children from Flathead County in need of coats, socks, gloves, hats and boots for almost 4 decades. The organization began as a Jaycee project and has grown immensely to provide child services for low income families. Through public donations, supported by fundraisers, Coats for Kids supply many children with warmth during the winter. By working in tandem with local retailers such as Herbergers, Sportsman Ski Haus, and Payless Shoes in the past we purchased new winter clothing. Alongside purchasing new winter clothing, gently used winter clothes may also be donated. Hundreds of children go to Coats for Kids during the "Warm Up the Flathead", where they get their winter clothes. Many young children do not have access to winter clothes during the cold winter months. Schools do not allow kids to go outside during winter unless they have their winter clothes. And at Coats for Kids, we believe that all children should have access to a good clean pair of winter wear. We have teamed up with the Flathead County Sheriff Posse and Gunner's Light Foundation to put on "Warm Up the Flathead". We had a very successful first year, in 2019, helping over 500 children. As you well know, Covid-19 prevented us from doing the event in 2020. No fear, Coats for Kids will always be there! We distributed the winter gear directly through the schools. We are proud to announce that we will be doing our 2nd Annual "Warm Up the Flathead" in December. We are in great need of donations to ensure no child goes home cold! CATS You can send your tax deductible donations to PO Box 427 Kalispell, MT 59903 or make a contribution on our website at www.coatsforkidsmt.org. We appreciate your consideration.
