On May 1, 2020 the Whitefish Fire Service Area Board asked for feedback from its community members about the five-year agreement with the City of Whitefish to offer fire services.
For those of you who can, please write a letter to the city council to support the hiring of more firefighters/medics. The Whitefish Fire Department currently runs at a 4 man minimum. This is as front line as it gets and they could use more man power. With a very small percentage of these funds, the city could hire one more person per shift. They have hired 2, parttime employees so far but need 3, full timers. Let's see these funds support the covid-19 frontline workers.
