Message of Appreciation from the Lincoln Electric Co-op Board of Trustees Lincoln Electric Cooperative, Inc. To the dedicated employees of Lincoln Electric Cooperative, On behalf of the Lincoln Electric Cooperative (LEC) Board of Trustees, we extend our sincere grat- itude and deep appreciation for the extraordinary work you performed during the severe storm events of November and December 2025. Beginning on Thanksgiving Day, a heavy wet snowstorm brought widespread outages across our system, leaving more than 3,000 members without power-some for up to three days. Damage was extensive, especially in areas like Pinkham, where broken poles, downed lines, and dangerous condi- tions required exceptional skill and safety. On Dec. 3, a Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) outage left nearly 6,000 members across more than seven communities without power. Within five minutes, the office received over 438 calls; 2,281 total calls over the next hour, and staff quickly shifted to automated messaging while supporting restoration efforts. From Dec. 16 through Dec. 26, our co-op faced one of the most demanding storm responses in re- cent memory. Saturated ground and damaging west-southwest winds brought widespread damage and outages from Whitefish to the Canadian border. Crews worked day after day, often until mid- night, taking only brief rest breaks before returning at 6:00 a.m. Restoration was slowed by blocked roadways, inaccessible damage, and setbacks as trees continued falling into lines and previously restored areas were damaged again. Through it all, we witnessed the strength of teamwork across the entire co-op-line crews, right- of-way crews, engineering, dispatch, and office staff working together as one. While line crews battled relentless conditions, office staff supported restoration through constant member communication and meal and supply delivery. Your Board of Trustees is proud of the professionalism, toughness, and commitment shown by every LEC employee. Your long hours and unwavering dedication ensured power was restored as quickly and safely as conditions allowed. You represent the best of what a cooperative stands for-service, community, and commitment. Thank you for everything you do. With sincere appreciation, Lincoln Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees Rick Peterson, President; Joel Graves, Vice President; Sandi Mason, Secretary Treasurer; Myra Appel; Tina Taurman; Rodney Kane; Marianne Roose; David Purdy.
