About
Our story began in 1960 when Emil Martel, a carpenter from Germany, founded Martel Construction with his son in Bozeman, Montana. The two started small, with a single spec house. From these humble beginnings, Martel Construction has gone on to make significant contributions to the landscape of our state by building structures of exceptional quality and, often, of considerable scope. Our experienced staff and diverse equipment enable us to self-perform significant elements of any project. We are home to a state of the art millwork shop capable of producing custom woodwork that is second to none.
Now guided by Emil’s grandsons, Tony and Jason, Martel Construction employs 150 people throughout Montana, with offices in Missoula, Bozeman, and Bigfork. Despite our growth, we have remained connected to our roots and stayed true to our original values: integrity, safety, quality, and reliability.
