HOME Award-winning artist opens a tattoo shop in Bigfork Thomas, originally from Minnesota, has been tattooing since 2003 out of his home-based shop in Rochester, Minnesota. Years later he would include travel to other shops where he acquired clients in New York, Colorado, California, Nevada and Washington while spending most of his time at Au- tonomy Tattoo in Rochester. It is at Autonomy where he met fellow artist, girlfriend and now tattoo apprentice, Aspen. A variety of tattoo styles including Japanese traditional, American traditional, black and gray and realism. Thomas works in a variety of styles including his favorites Japanese traditional and American traditional which is the original and oldest style of tattooing featuring solid black outlines and a limited color palette while utilizing impeccable precision. In the fall of 2017, while visiting friends in Montana, Thomas and Aspen decided to make the big move and open Cutthroat Tattoo in Bigfork. Since opening the shop, Thomas has been enjoying taking on new clients, helping local businesses with art projects and becoming an avid fisherman. As Cutthroat Tattoo's apprentice, Aspen has since completed one of five years of her apprenticeship and enjoys spending her free time painting commission pieces.
