About

National Organization to Save Flathead Lake (NOSFL), Working on your behalf - for a common goal. We are a non-profit 501 (c) (4) foundation, non-partisan, local and diverse group that has reactivated to represent you and your neighbors in navigating the maze of Federal agencies that have control over the management of Flathead Lake. Our mission is to ensure we never experience a summer like 2023 and to work with our legislators and agencies to keep Flathead Lake at full pool from June 15 to September 15 every summer. Through these efforts, we can collectively ensure full pool every year to support agriculture, ranching, recreation, tourism and the biological opinion. Our History: We were there for you in 1985 during the relicensing of Kerr Dam. We were there for you again in 2001-2010 when we participated and intervening in the FERC process on your behalf to develop the 2010 Environmental Impact Statement for the Final Drought Management Plan that balances the needs of those who depend upon Flathead Lake whether energy, property and dock owners, irrigators, recreators, business owners and employees. And we are working on your behalf today.
